The stars gaze upon my sleeplessness,
The morning breeze carries my sighs.
I have a complaint against You, O Lord,
Listen to my lament, if You will.
We were the ones who spread Your name across the world,
We were the ones who recited the Quran in every land.
We were the ones who fought for Your religion,
We were the ones who sacrificed our lives for Your cause.
But now we are abandoned, forgotten,
Our glory is gone, our power diminished.
The world mocks us, ridicules us,
While You remain silent, indifferent to our plight.
اردو
کیا تیرا دل میرے آہ سحر سے جل گیا
میرے شکوے سے تیرا عرش برین ہل گیا
تیری محفل میں یہ اندازِ شکایت کیسا
بندہ ہو کر تیرے در پر یہ ادب بھول گیا
ہم تو جب کعبہ و بتخانہ میں لڑ مر گئے
تو نے اپنا یہ پرانا گھر آباد کیا
ہم تو جب وادیِ فاراں میں پکارے گئے
تو نے سینا پہ کسی اور کو آزاد کیا
